Shipping & Returns
Standard US Postal Service First Class shipping times vary but are generally 3-5 business days*. We offer expedited shipping for an additional charge.
Orders placed by 11AM ET will ship the same day. After that, your order will be processed and shipped the next business day. We are closed on weekends and U.S. holidays.

At this time, we only exchange, provide store credit or refund unused / sealed products within 14 days of delivery receipt.
We do not refund shipping fees or cover shipping costs associated with returns. Refunds will be processed once returned items arrive to our warehouse, less a 15% handling fee.
We cannot offer returns or exchanges for used product or free product received via promotions.

Yes. All of our products use non-nano Ecocert, COSMOS and Natural Products Association approved Zinc Oxide.
Yes!! All of our products are vegan and cruelty free. We are very proud to have received the Leaping Bunny Seal as well. We not only avoid reef-harming chemical screens, but we also what we feel are the top 6 offenders in skin- and earth-disrupting ingredients found in many sunscreens on the market today.
While we do not use gluten, we cannot claim they are Gluten Free because our raw materials and our manufacturing facility are not guaranteed free of gluten or potential gluten cross-contamination.
We use a custom combination of plant extracts and oils to achieve the scent in the products we’ve designated “naturally scented.”
Our extract and oil blends are both Ecocert + COSMOS approved.
We believe synthetic fragrances can be irritating to sensitive skin and potentially disruptive to our health given their undisclosed ingredient combinations.
The majority of our products are unscented.
Yes! We created Solara to solve a need for our own children's sensitive skin, so the majority of our products are Pediatrician and Derm approved.
Per the FDA guidelines, sunscreen is meant for children 6 months or older and you should always consult your pediatrician before sun exposure and sunscreen use.
Absolutely! In addition to working with top chemists, FDA-approved manufacturers and expert doctors, we also use several third-party, globally accredited labs to ensure all aspects of our products exceed safety standards. Not only do we thoroughly test our products for preservative efficacy, packaging stability, SPF value, Broad Spectrum and Water Resistance (when applicable), we also test for skin irritation - called the HRIPT test - which, believe it or not, is actually optional. We created these products for our family, so safety and efficacy is something we take very seriously.
As a rule of thumb, the American Academy of Dermatology recommends 1 oz. (a shot glass) of sunscreen for your entire body. Make sure you use the proper amount and, equally as important, make sure you REAPPLY!! If you are swimming or sweating, our lotions must be reapplied after 40 minutes. Otherwise at least every two hours. Don’t under estimate the importance of reapplying…and please, don’t forget places like your ears, lips and feet.
Sun Protection Factor (SPF) a standard measurement to help quantify how long you can be exposed to UVB rays before getting burned. It is developed in a lab setting and true protection value depends on where you are, what you are doing and how well + how often you are applying / reapplying! So, always apply the recommended amount (1 oz - a shot glass full - for your whole adult body) and reapply every two hours or 40 minutes after swimming / sweating.
It's important to know that no sunscreen can filter out 100% of the sun's UVB rays. That's why it's important to reapply regularly, wear protective clothing and seek shade when possible. For example: SPF 15 filters 93% of UVB rays, SPF 30 filters out 97% and SPF 50 filters out 98% … higher SPF than 50 give a false sense of security.
SPF also does not indicate any protection from the damaging UVA rays, which cause premature aging. That’s why you must look for “Broad Spectrum” designation to ensure protection from both UVA + UVB.
We believe ALL sunscreen should protect from UVA, UVB and even blue light/HEV/pollution as they can all lead to skin damage over time. Our products cover all of those bases.

You can add as many products as you would like to your subscription, but please note that not all products have the same delivery cadence - subscription delivery cadences vary between 30, 60, and 90 days.
