Made an order 2 weeks and paid $18 for expedited shipping. Order was 4 days late. I emailed the day before it was originally supposed to arrive asking for assistance/ solution. Auto email says 2 day response and I heard nothing. 5 days later I sent another email (received the same auto response) and called. Was told my message would be sent to support as urgent. Called again 4 days later and told it would again be shared as urgent. No response. I have contacted Solara 4 times in 2 weeks and have not heard a single thing. I paid way to much for my order to be 4 days late (I needed it for a trip) and Solara to neglect the problem keeping my money. Very displeased with the lack of service.

I was excited to try this, but almost immediately after applying it I could taste it in my mouth and it tasted like I had licked sunscreen (I did not lick my lips, but it's on my lips so it's inevitable that some will get in my mouth). There are quite a few 5 star reviews so it must not bother everyone, but I have never used an SPF lip balm that tasted so much like sunscreen (and I'm talking about the generic sunscreen I used to use as a child). It also does have a bit of a white cast so if you like wearing nude lipstick or gloss then you will probably like this because it does lighten your lips. So, not my favorite.

I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this lip serum. I’ve never heard of a mineral SPF lip balm before. I kind of expected it to be clear, even though part of me knew full well that mineral SPF NEVER goes on clear! But based on the reviews I decided to try it out anyways. So…it does leave a white cast. I have pink/red lips and it does tend to wash them out a little. Definitely not the look I’m going for. BUT it does feel nice and smell good. I think a simple fix would be to apply over or under lip color. Overall, I’m not super impressed with it but I’m also not mad at it.
